“Traveling flat out at 71.5 mph, It will easily overtake the Ferrari traveling at 65mph” Ha!
Ferrari wouldn’t let this ad happen in 2020s
They’d just pull a stunt in a corner where the ferrari stays on track and the other car crashes.
Ferraris are perfect, there is no “other car”
In 1984, there was a magazine ad by Rolls Royce with the slogan:
“All you’ll hear at 100km/h is the ticking of the clock.”Citroen countered with an ad for the 2CV that said:
“All you’ll hear at 100km/h is the roar of the engine.”“I want a VW Bug!”
“We have VW Bug at home”
VW Bug at home:
The 2cv was actually the original and the bug was the copy.
I pretty much doubt this, 2CV specs were issued as TPV in 1936, while the VW then known as Porshe type 60 already had prototypes built in 1935.
Damn, Germans kinda kick ass
faut y revenir…
Mes parents conduisent la même depuis …40ans?
This is a great ad and reminiscent of VW’s “lemon” ads. I wonder which came first.
