My bad; you implied that you were just visiting with your last comment.

Why would you ever visit that shithole of a country?
No; I’m happy with my 65" 4K 144Hz HDR OLED with an HDMI port. Won’t be replacing it until I can buy a 1000Hz panel and finally be done with motion blur for good.
Tell me where I can buy a 65-80" 4K 144Hz HDR OLED with a DP port for under $2K, and I’ll gladly ditch HDMI for good.
Allow me to introduce you to Stremio + Torrentio + Real-Debrid.
Yeah but there will always be freaks like me who need to sit less than 2m away from a massive 75" screen so that they can browse the desktop at 4K without increasing display scaling beyond 100%.
Needless to say, I could benefit from 8K.
The point I’m making is that we will still have to deal with motion blur at 240 and 480Hz, so I might as well save some money and hang onto my 4K120 OLED until we reach 1000Hz.
Let me know when we have cables that can hit 1000Hz at 8K, so I can finally own a blur-free OLED. Until then, I’m perfectly content with 4K120.
So basically only the worst states in the country have this law. Color me surprised.
No but I use a 3rd party DNS, which might have something to do with it, now that you mention it.
Speaking of which, can anyone please tell me why XHamster now requires a Virgina ID to visit the website, even though I live nowhere near that shithole?
Imagine actually calling Twitter “X”.
Same but I hate cleaning the tank. So messy and smelly.
But then in 2004 my parents had to go back to dialup for awhile to save money, which was brutal. Especially since I would video chat with my GF often and download all sorts of stuff from KaZaA. Have you ever tried to do a video call on dialup? 0.1-0.5 FPS and compressed so badly that it’s hard to make out even basic facial features. It’s a miracle that it worked at all.
I got lucky and scored a 4090 at a discount on launch day. I think I’ll just hang onto it for a few more generations. It still has plenty of power to run everything at 4K 120Hz especially with DLSS Balanced, (except Indiana Jones; that game is extremely demanding), which I use anyway cause IMO it looks better than AA.
No problem; it’s a common English mistake, even for native speakers.
You meant “wary”. Weary means tired. Wary means suspicious.
No I’m 100% serious. I’m allowed to have an unpopular opinion, you know.
Was wondering when someone would finally do it. Rollable phones next, please?
Ever since the first foldable screens were announced in the 2010s, I’ve had this idea for a cylindrical tube-shaped phone. Tube contains the battery, cameras, buttons, and ports. Pull on a tab and the screen rolls out. Pull a little more, and now the screen is tablet-sized. Like unraveling a roll of film. I could see this design replacing foldables.
The only part I haven’t figured out yet is how to make the screen rigid enough for use. Maybe using some sort of chain-link latching system?
