Would you care to expand on this? My impression is that he did what he did out of ethical concerns, and has paid a high price for it.

I picked up “Yakuza 0” on sale not too long ago, and I’m enjoying it so much that I picked up the rest of the remastered series while it was on sale. Based on how long I’m spending mucking around in the first one, It may take me the rest of my life to get through them all. I don’t know how “Like a Dragon” compares to the earlier games, but I really enjoy the narrative, combat, sub-stories, and mini-games in “0”.
As an aside, I really enjoy a well-done pool mini-game. I probably spent more time playing pool in the various space stations in “Rebel Galaxy Outlaw” than doing anything else. Likewise, Kiryu spends a lot of time in the pool hall, as well as hanging around the batting cages, and fine-tuning his pocket racers.
I generally agree with your stance regarding humor with a victim. Stupid and regressive. Caveman stuff. I don’t know if that precisely applies here, although I don’t see any humor in the comic either. Maybe that wasn’t the intent ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It sounds like what he actually says is ta gueule —translates to “your muzzle” in English—which seems to be one of the ruder ways to say “shut up” in French. Which, I guess, correlates well enough with the usage of the English idiom “can it.”
That’s a good way to be. I try to do this, but it’s hard not to hold people’s stupidity against them when they plaster it all over the back of their car.
I mean, based on these other examples, it seems like a real monkey’s paw situation. We’d probably just get a few more asshat billionaires out of it.
I will downvote every iteration of this stupid minions meme, regardless of whether or not it is formatted correctly. I’m sick to death of it. I’m well aware that nobody else gives a shit, and why should they? As long as I’m soapboxing about nonsense, I feel the same way about “____ has entered the chat”
Further bulletins as events warrant.
Yeah, living in Texas, I’ll seize any opportunity to wear a sweater or jacket that stays in the closet during our 10ish months of summer. You just miss out on so much accessorizing when it’s this damn hot all the time!
You mean, to counteract the air conditioner? As a fellow resident of these southern United States, I can’t imagine it would be necessary otherwise.
I mean it’s gotta be well past the “best by” date at this point. Any sensible person would have thrown it out long ago. Otherwise it’ll stink up your fridge something awful.
Infesting in your kids’ ears and nesting!
Hamas missiles target military installations, not civilians.
Hey, I agree with most of what you’re saying in this thread, but that seems disingenuous. First of all, Hamas seems to have developed a home-grown rocket manufacturing capability, undoubtedly with the support of the IRGC. While they probably hold some precision-guided munitions in reserve, they’ve yet to demonstrate that. So, at present, any reference to Hamas missiles is moot.
Moreover, Hamas has, in recent days, specifically targeted Israeli civilians. Setting aside any partisan reporting, there is overwhelming evidence that Hamas intentionally murdered hundreds of civilians. That being the case, your imprecation that
Hamas missiles target military installations
seems pretty disingenuous.
Is Bibi the good guy here? Of fucking course not. Aside from widely-reported ‘intelligence failures’, he’s on the record supporting Hamas, in order to prop up his own fascist regime. If anyone’s more guilty than Hamas, it’s fucking Netanyahu.
I like to think of it as unlocking new thought technologies. Like a tech tree in a 4x game. Sometimes you have mental breakthroughs that legitimately open up new options. I recommend getting really stoned and talking to yourself in a mirror. Also, Disco Elysium.
For a minute I thought the Meme-Makers Guild had joined SAG-AFTRA and the WGA in solidarity.
I think most online atheist communities would upvote that sort of thing. In my experience, it’s all just circle-jerking about how evil religion is, and how stupid people must be to subscribe to it. Which is understandable; most atheists are constantly inundated with religious claptrap from all kinds of sources, and need a place to vent about it. They don’t tend to be very positive places, though.
I’m pretty sure it’s a big truck, that you can just dump things on.
