At work I block a lot of ‘telemetry’ including microsoft. I’ve considered a full asn block of microsoft for user machines since I use WSUS. Microsoft has decided to depreciate it. Probably due to me stopping them from installing office 365 trials and copilot garbage. I’m sure I’m not the only one doing that. Far too much garbage for me to trust them at home.

China is preventing people from traveling and working due to their social credit system. Their level of intrusion has no comparison to any other country. The level of intrusion into peoples lives is horrible and unprecedented. Except on my networks all port 53 tcp/udp and port 853 for that matter are forwarded to my dns per firewall rules. I also block all encrypted dns as well as dns over https blocked. Its my dns or nothing. I also have a vpn and proxy blocklist that updates twice a day. PFblockerNG is effective when maintained.
