The meme didn’t mention the play store, anyone actually concerned with this stuff likely also is savvy enough to install apps without the play store.

This comment seems like it would be basically incomprehensible to an actual Linux beginner.

It takes like 15 minutes to go from bare metal to login. I built my own PC in March and installed Windows from scratch from a USB drive.
