How so?
They’re wasting good usernames
The power behind the throne in Australia is still right wing nut jobs and corporations
I ran in to the problem when my credit card expired. According to support Google Pay balance is supposed to continue to work. Didn’t bother trying and changed back to my own country.
Don’t really need to know tbh
Good shorts give you everything you need to see in a short period of time. I’ve seen plenty of them which is why I give it a chance.
It’s the not good Shorts that Youtube keeps showing me that I absolutely hate. The 20 view “alpha male” bullshit Shorts that I’ve never shown interest in yet Youtube insists I must love.
I hate Shorts because it insists on showing me bullshit 1-2 view shorts of just inane shit interspersed between ones I actually don’t mind.
Pretty sure they just fixed the loophole. I tried to renew my subscription in India and they now require your payment method to be in the country you are subscribing in e.g. you need an Indian credit card.
Egregious CSAM aside, none of these websites, including sites like Reddit, can be 100% confident that the people posting images are doing so of people who are over 18. For example, how could Lemmy or Reddit be confident that (insert gonewild poster here) is over the age of 18? As far as I’m aware the only checks that they do are to confirm that the poster is the person they say they are, not that they are of an appropriate age to post.
I feel like saying that Lemmy isn’t your personal army
Unfortunately unless we are absolute in our condemnation of low-effort comments, they will eventually proliferate and become “accepted” and commonplace.
It’s not super common yet on Lemmy, but as we get more popular the race to the bottom for low-effort comments is inevitable.
Huge “stalking your ex” energy
I’m not really sure of the point of YouTube comments.
Crazy sports thumbnails is kind of its own meme at this point.
I don’t think this was true. The actual issue was you couldn’t see posts you’d made to private subreddits. Once those subreddits reopened, it made posts visible in their profiles and made it look like they hadn’t deleted everything.
