You do have to turn off battery saver for the background process. Phones tend to not like background processes. That would cause the behavior you’re seeing.
Settings > Apps > App battery usage > Immich > Set to “unrestricted”
Also I have mine set to a ten minute delay, maybe that’s why I haven’t noticed. Maybe try adding a small delay to the load?
(Primarily I wanted a chance to delete photos before they uploaded.)
Immich is working pretty well for me. Even the search does a decent job of recognizing the things in the pictures.
I’m not sure what Google photos has that Immich doesn’t, and I’ve been using Google photos for years.
Not if you want to push the site hard to the right!
Keep in mind that in these situations it’s not always their fault. Sometimes two other people have pulled in straight and they’re the third. Then the other two leave, and they just look like an ass.
Or maybe they’re just an ass. Can really go either way.
It doesn’t matter if it is. The way to do that is to increase your prices, not with hidden fees.
The US government as a whole, comparatively, are the good guys in this. The US government is pretty cautious and tends to shy away from spreading propaganda to its own people.
There are a lot of caveats there, absolutely. I’ll get into some of those. But let’s not pretend the US government is on par with the Russian or Chinese governments when it comes to social media propaganda.
The GOP being in bed with the Russians and collaboratively pushing narratives is not being done on behalf of the government. And I doubt whatever is happening at Elgin is targeting Americans.
Exactly. Why would I want anyone else in my community when I can just talk to myself! !league@lemmy.ml
It felt more like he was trying to exploit the concept for attention and popularity in the most tone-deaf, transparent way possible.
I still think it was more of a business decision than anything else.
In the future I can see media going the way of Kickstarter.
Season 1 is free, high quality production. Season 2 needs to hit $10-20 million on not-Kickstarter, and if it passes they send you a novelty USB containing seasons 1 & 2 (as well as give it away for “free” on Netflix or a streaming site).
But it’s a lot harder to price gouge in under that model. The show Friends made literally billions of dollars, and that’s a hard sell for a Kickstarter model.
Some are just young and/or naive. If you don’t think past the surface it makes sense. It’s (American) conservativism with less hate. And it’s another tool to manipulate people into supporting lower taxes on the rich.
It’s appealing at a glance because the first thing kids notice about it is that you don’t have to hate gays for no reason.
This is the middle of Tennessee. Granted, a few miles out of a tourist town and a sprawling national park, but still Tennessee.
If this were Manhattan, I’d expect these prices.
It’s a short code for “everything on the menu is ~$3 more than it should be.”
Last trendy coffee stop I visited, I told them I was offended by their prices and walked out.
A bunch of bullshit so that Boeing can sell the shit they want to sell.
I’d be interested in hearing what they are using for safety-critical OS. Notice they said “software engineering” and not “OS”, which makes me think they’re running on Windows.
Most Windows drivers also run in kernel mode.[1]
“Please tread on me” says the people who fly Gadsden flags.
It is kind of weird that out of the six people involved in that, only she gets the attention.
It called them /r/jailbait and /r/the_donald.
Upvote a lot, but try to keep it to the top half of quality. We do want the quality to go up with the number of posts instead of just pure numbers.
It’s something like
