I didnt say it was great, I said it was good enough for a very long time. And in all honesty i think its data transfer speeds were always subpar.

My personal pet theory is that it was designed the way it was in order to make a cost-cutting measure look fancy and luxurious.

It is reversible and consistent, two things other phone chargers never were. Sure, for data transfer it’s outdated as hell now, but it is still good enough for most uses

It has all the compliment-sounding qualities of “Special Needs” but is even more literal than any previous euphemism. It literally means “kids that teachers need to make exceptions for”
