Edge wasn’t always chromium. It was their own engine and it was great, but too many people complained essentially that it wasn’t chromium so they switched to chromium.

only difference is that there are is no word like “even” or “odd” for “divisible by three” or “not divisible by three”.
Yep, hence why 2 is unique - there is a word to describe numbers that are divisible by 2, and 2 is the only one of those that is a prime number.
It seems that you don’t know what the word “unique” means.
It’s unique because all the others are odd numbers. This is crazy that you’re trying to argue this.
Like what? Genuine question, have never heard of this.
Well 2 is the outlier because it’s the only even prime. It might not be “special” but it is unique out of all of the prime numbers.
No, I don’t. They chose to preemptively defederate from an instance because some people might maybe not actually break their rules but just talk about their ideologies that the precious admin didn’t agree with.
Why not just handle rule breakers if and when they break rules? Why ban an entire instance because you disagree with some of their ideologies?
Can you explain why you agree with their stance, if you do?
Much of this appearance is due to absurd modding unfortunately. Removing any comments that the mods disagree with so they can have their echo chamber is a good way to give the appearance of a happy and supportive place while actually being the opposite.
Reading the mod logs is an exercise in frustration in a lot of communities here, especially on certain instances.
Explaining the reason for making a decision doesn’t mean it’s an actual good reason btw.
2 is a prime number though……
Is it Just because it’s the only even one?
These are reddit clients mate lol.
From the way people that love Sync etc talk about the official reddit app they likely don’t.
Just because it has doesn’t mean it needed to be.
If I earned enough money from a product to be able to only work on it, I’d update it too - but that doesn’t mean it needs updates or maintenance.
Yep, I was just pointing out that the person I replied to was wrong.
Sync for Reddit wasn’t just created yesterday. There comes a point where almost all software is stable and will run be fine without updates indefinitely. Established Reddit clients were at that point years ago.
Again though - some money > no money. By literally shutting the app down it makes no money.
Ongoing development of sync is only a full time job because it paid so well with zero costs since Reddit handed the content and api to the dev for free. It’s definitely not an actual full time jobs worth of work.
Unless the person you replied to is almost 70 years old, Eisenhower wasn’t president during their lifetime. They’d have to be over 50 for Nixon to have been, 60 for kennedy, 45 for Ford, 42 for Carter.
Reagan, Clinton, and Obama are probably the only ones applicable from your list, and “starting new wars” can be applied to a few of them in terms of the USA becoming infolved, as others have mentioned.
There’s money left to give to israel after it’s all been given to Ukraine?
Community backlash? Not sure you’ve been paying attention lol. Also Boost/Sync/etc aren’t a “platform”, they’re an app to access a platform.
There aren’t necessarily ongoing maintenance costs.
It was actually one of the most W3C compliant browsers there is, more so than chromium based ones. Unfortunately google’s near monopoly has made websites focus on working in chrome, not on standards.
