I’m a commie, so I’m all for social ownership of the means of production, but that’s neither here nor there. The point is, there isn’t a scale of how pure capitalism is: a Keynesian model is as capitalistic as laissez-faire is because the underlying relationships to capital are the same. Communism isn’t at the other end of any scale because it’s an entirely different model, not just more or less regulation.
Some may argue that no country is socialist because they are still transitioning, and that they are still capitalist, but that’s not a scale: they are not socialist (yet, hopefully) because their mode of production is still capitalistic.
Regulated capitalism is still capitalism. There’s no such thing as “pure” or “impure” capitalism, the social relationships to capital are the same. Lassiez-faire capitalism is just a flavour of it.
It’s like ice-cream: you may prefer chocolate ice-cream over vanilla ice-cream, but they are both flavours of ice-cream and you wouldn’t say “yea, that’s not pure ice-cream”. Some people may even dislike ice-cream altogether and prefer cheesecake.
Maybe it’s different in the US and other cultures, but as an atheist I’ve never seen the phrase as a very religious thing. I say “merry Christmas” and “happy holidays” indistinctly and I’ve never seen anyone offended by the use of either, independtly of their faith (or lack thereof).
I say “merry Christmas” on the actual Christmas day though.
If on Android, revanced works wonderfully. On iOS you can just use adguard and safari instead of the app. At least that’s what I use and I only get ads when I use the default yt app in my oldish Hisense TV instead of casting or just my PC.
In Spain we don’t. They’re in regular, unrefrigerated shelves.
Edit: but we (at least in my circles) keep them refrigerated at home, although I don’t know how necessary it is (I suppose it depends on the climate?)
capitalism isn’t the problem, greed is
Lol. The executive of the modern state is but a committee for managing the common affairs of the whole bourgeoisie, as certain bearded guy said.
The EU doesn’t do any hybrid model. Social democracy is still capitalism, being less shitty than the US doesn’t make the EU any less capitalist.
Well no, I dont eat that much meat. I usually eat chicken, turkey and bit of pork and beef. Lamb is much rarer and snails are more of a social food that I don’t cook at home, so I only eat them like 6-8 times a year.
I do eat different kinds of fish regularly, though, and I eat a healthy amount of veggies and non-animals but they also aren’t that varied. Like I usually eat rice, potatoes, artichokes, eggplant, lettuce, spinach, broccoli, lentils, peppers and soy products (tofu, miso paste, etc) + aromatics like onion and garlic.
I’ve eaten chicken, turkey, sheep, cow, pig, duck, rabbit, snail, deer and horse. It’s a bit more than 3, and that’s just the general category (for example, counting boars and pigs as only one type) and only land animals. If we list each fish species, crabs, squids, calamari…
There was this guy who made music using floppies and other old stuff. Pretty cool.
Edit: I think I meant this other guy, but the first one’s good too.
Still so much better than discord for being a source of information.
Discord is atrocious as an info repository. It’s useful to chat and to have a way to search what’s been said, but it’s horrible having to search there for that one useful message amidst all the other replies if you haven’t participated. And the nature of a chat makes searching blindly very time consuming.
I think the problem won’t be the formula, it’ll be the progressive dumbing down and simplification that Beth is doing since like forever. It will sell well just because it’s TES, though. Also, if Emil “lol who cares about lore” Pagliarulo is leading the writing and he treats it like he did with FO4…
