I feel like I had a problem socially starting jr high without a phone at all in late 00s. All your friends communicate/plan/etc over phones so not having one you’re missing out on all of that.

idk, I’m 6’6 and I despise having to drive full size pickups and SUVs. they’re made for short people to feel tall. A decent proportion I can’t even see street lights in lol.
The cars that have been good for me have been weird, like my s10 fits me better than any full size truck, outbacks and other cuv aren’t bad either, especially newer ones. I’ve heard there are sedans that are better fit for taller/bigger people, but I haven’t looked much there

that gets rid of cec but everything else would still work. you really just have to plug your other devices into the TV directly instead of into the roku. the problem will be the tvs with roku integrated directly
Mine has just started to have problems with the steam button and the right stick not registering presses. There really aren’t alternatives and I’m devastated. Probably going to have to buy used ones off ebay if I can’t fix it.

Oddly enough, I’ve had a decent chunk of my only barely technical friend group switch to it for the opposite reason. They all just copypaste snippets of config between each other, and if something breaks they just go back a revision. I doubt any of them spend much time configuring anything. It really is the perfect idiot proof distro and I don’t normally see people talking about that side of it
yes, it doesn’t run plasma when it’s in big picture, it runs it in https://github.com/ValveSoftware/gamescope along with other tweaks, so it’s lower overhead and game windows tend to behave better
it also handles updates to os as well as to steam so you don’t ever end up with an update that breaks steam, they’re always in sync
What about pkcon? I haven’t used it in particular, but packagekit based GUIs work pretty well in my experience, and then it supports flatpak/snap/apt/kde addons/etc in one interface, which is better than it was originally.
pinecil can be battery powered too and I’ve had a good time with mine. granted the battery is either a laptop power bank or a drill battery, but it’s still portable enough for me
