the cars are fucking solid.
Try driving through a car wash without activating “car wash mode”. 😂

It’s actually part of the Sirius XM package. So I think that all you have to do is not bother with Sirius XM.
A more useful thing would be to do as much damage to Twitter as possible. In fact, why they haven’t attacked Twitter while Musk has been disarming all of its safety protocols is fucking beyond me.
when the data used to train the AI is copyrighted, how do you make it open source? it’s a valid question.
It is actually possible to reveal the source of training data without showing the data itself. But I think this is a bit deeper since I’ll bet all of my teeth that the training data they’ve used is literally the 20 years of Facebook interactions and entries that they have just chilling on their servers. Literally 3+ billion people’s lives are the training data.
Not only that but from what I’ve heard all Teslas have issues with rain and going through car washes. This is not a car company this is a tech company that tried to make cars. The only reason they have succeeded thus far is because none of the actual car makers were outputting electric vehicles seriously. Now that they are Tesla is doomed cause they’re absolute shit at designing automobiles.
Yeah all that bluster in Congress about TikTok collecting people’s data and yet not one single privacy bill materialized anywhere. Not even from Democrats. It’s almost like the privacy concerns were not even real.
I’ll also reiterate that they flat out will not even use a TV sometimes because they’re defeated by the smart TV features that prevent them from getting over to their Comcast box.
Yes I did read your comment and here you just proved my point. And my solution was not for old people. Point I was making in my comment was that old people are already lost cause. They don’t understand technology and therefore will not benefit from it. So yeah they get suckered into buying these TVs and then they never use them properly or they get somebody younger to set them up so that they can use either Netflix or Disney+ since those are the only things they know of to watch whatever programs they can pull up or they pay someone to get a cable box plugged in and surf like they did in the '80s, '90s, and early 2000s.
My “fix” is for younger people, twenties to '50s, who don’t want to deal with the ad-pocalypse. I have been able to set it up multiple times with various sized computers right down to a Raspberry Pi. And yeah, of some ain’t tech savvy enough to plug a computer into an HDMI port and use it to watch stuff on their TV, I have no sympathies. We live in a digital age and if you’re younger than '50 years old and can’t work a computer, you’re dead out of luck when it comes to digital entertainment and you might as well get used to having ads shoved in your face the rest of your life.
I haven’t had a living grandmother in… I don’t even know how many years at this point.
But the fact of the matter is, the older generations don’t really use Smart TVs, they’re still using Comcast boxes and accessing regular TV. Some of the more tech savvy will engage Netflix or Disney+ but beyond that, it’s doubtful they even know anything beyond those exist.
I made my Smart TV into a dumb TV by never activating the smart TV functions. And then I plugged a relatively cheap computer into it. So I don’t have this kind of problem.
I guess it’s a good thing I am switching to Linux.
What a shock, the meme car only sold a few units before people were over it. LoL 😂
This is not the way to do that. This is a way to get rid of your best people because, as the United States government is about to find out, when you offer a voluntary exit to people with a severance package the ones who know they have ability and are competent will take that package and leave and get better jobs. And the ones that know they suck or are too lazy are going to stay. There’s actually a list somewhere of companies that have done this and have gone under because of it.
All it needs is a couple of opportunistic fuckers to take advantage of chaos and that shit will plummet like a fucking rock.
That’s beginning to wane. The fewer major posters there are, the fewer people will look to the site for information. And the fewer people on there looking for info…etc.
Those replies are why they are leaving. And good riddance to such a godawful platform.
no major company is even making Blu-Ray players anymore
Uh, yes they are. What are you smoking? They even still make DVD’s and straight DVD players. They even still make VCR’s.
This is a war that was fought by broadcast TV and the makers of videotapes, DVDs, and blu-rays. In every case the Corpos failed. So no, this arms race is and will be won by the ad blockers.
Firefox + Ublock Origin
This right here. No longer using chromium-based browsers is a really good start.
Tell you the truth, once upon a time I really didn’t mind the ads. In fact I was quite happy to support the creators that I like with watching the ads that appeared on their videos. But then YouTube started getting smarmy by blocking my suggestions because I didn’t use history on my account. And then there’s the problem of the ads getting longer. At which point I got fed up and downloaded the adblock software to stop seeing this garbage. And then this little war broke out over ads on the platform.
Quite frankly, so long as the people who make the software to block ads continue to do that kind of work I will continue to download their software and make Google spend boatloads of their own money to try to block the blockers. Because the blockers aren’t going anywhere. Not to mention that the blockers were not quite as popular before Google started this little campaign. And now they have made people so hyper aware of the fact that they can actually go out and find some way to skip these stupid ads that they’ve basically dug their own grave. Broadcast TV spent decades on this failed quest.
It’s no longer available on FDroid for some reason.
