The issue is a lot harder to ignore when the person to your right and the person to your left is starving to death.

If I was Argentinian, I’d move to Patagonia and be a wildman.
While it’s weird that they waited so long, emulating Nintendo systems is nothing new. We used to emulate SNES in the late 90s. Nintendo has generally always been the first and last name in quality single player gaming experiences, and their games are always in high demand. There will always be a contingent of people dedicated to emulating Nintendo systems, no matter what Barbara Streisand has to say about the matter.
In my experience, Conservatives usually don’t do anything to improve the income levels of working class people.
It’s uh, not that big a deal.
Unless they change the metrics by which they price their menu items. If the price is lowered, and surge pricing makes a 12 noon burger $0.50 more than usual, but an off-peak burger costs less than the OG price (but enough to still turn a profit), then Wendy’s might actually see more money if they can undercut other FF joints.
It was due to the Celebrity Chef “everyone has to be a professional chef” era that we’re coming out of. People didn’t want to change their eating habits, but they wanted to feel fancy like rich British food man on TV, so they started demanding gourmet experiences from restaurants that had no business attempting to offer gourmet experiences. Everybody fancied themselves a foodie without actually trying to go out to nice places.
This question is being posed to centrists and conservatives, right?
Conservatives: “George Carlin is a Republican!”
I’m sure they had no idea what they were doing when they randomly circled the Balkans and presupposed that there was no problem with their proposal.
While I don’t particularly see harm coming to a multibillion dollar corporation if someone torrents a 20 year old movie, piracy is still theft in the sense that something with value was had for zero dollars. The “copying vs taking” argument is irrelevant. Whether or not you’re being charged for direct ownership of a tangible item, or being charged for a 1 time viewing of an item, circumventing that agreement is still theft.
First android I ever had was a Galaxy S2. Goddammit that phone was so nice. I even bought a 2nd one when the first one died. But android file trees are way easier to navigate than iOS.
If it was using a version of android, photos are usually stored in DCIM folders either on your phone’s internal storage or more likely on the SD card.
Not the issue. They’re a representative of the company on and off the clock. You can’t put your hands on someone shoplifting. The company has insurance for theft and an acceptable amount of shrink every quarter. OP made a bad mistake.
Shoplifters and the general public being potentially violent is a normal condition of working retail. Nothing of what occurred in OP’s story qualifies as an unsafe work environment.
They put their hands on the shoplifter. Game over unfortunately. I think most people here are sympathetic to OP’s plight, but it’s unfortunate that the law says otherwise.
You’re missing the point. HAD guns been involved, putting your hands on somebody can get really ugly really fast. You don’t want or need to take these chances with desperate people.
Here’s a doozy for ya: in Canada, a person can smash your window to break into your house, and if they cut themselves on the broken glass, they have every legal right to sue you and win.
I believe during discovery, the very well established culture and rules of “not chasing or putting hands on a shoplifter” would get this thrown out as a summary judgment.
That song slaps tho.
