Love that last line. Will remember.

Agreed. I don’t understand how training LLM on publicly available data is an issue. As you says, it doesn’t copy the work. Rather the data is used as “inspiration” to stay in the art analogy.
Maybe I’m ignorant. Would love to be proven wrong. Right now it seems to me that failing media publishers are trying to do a money grab and use copyright as an argument, even though their data/material isn’t getting illegally reproduced.
Thanks for the reference. Will try it out. Always had issues using openstreetmap for some reason. This seem more integrative rather than have the navigation app and the actual map being two separate entities.
Indeed. And lots of normal human beings are able to run marathon. Pretty easy if you set your mind to.
I have the same experience as the author you just replied to. While some of what you are saying is true, I have never had everyday issues like these on windows. I switch to Linux once a year to change things up. Mint, arch, Debian… A few major issues I experience
These are essentials, not something I can simply learn to live with or fix on the fly.
Would love to switch! I can get through work without proprietary software so that’s not the issue.
LinuxMint
¯_(ツ)_/¯
Best sport in the world. Football is more than just FIFA etc, you know? Getting children to play and have fun is good. Me and my friends playing football is also good. But yeah, just boil everything down to how corps fuck things up.
Lol why the f do I get downvoted for this.

Bitching and moaning so a little to strong. Sorry :)
Just check the top 25 hot posts on here. None of them have anything to do with linux.
Then contact the moderators/admins and start a discussion on the issue. I don’t sub to Windows communities but surely rules could be put into place to avoid?
I just hate this bitching and moaning yet no action is taken. If you want to change things, start change yourself 🤞
You could be the fourth but I guess not?
Then start a community or post other comments. Maybe even block communities that you don’t like e.g. the linux subs or whatever. No one is shoving it down your throat.
Yeh and apparently Lemmy folks down votes legit bad experiences with gnu/Linux. If you think the user is the problem here, this community seriously have a problem if thet want gnu/Linux to be mainstream.
Installs mint. Connects to wifi at work. Prompted with a window that wants me to specify certificate versions or whatever. No clue about what any of it means and never get to connect. Uninstalled and back to Windows. Mint so easy to use /s 👍
Will be screening this for my high school classes!
