You can run your Jellyfin connection inside of Kodi which has a ton of configuration options like the volume control.

I’ve been pretty excited about what I’ve been seeing from Affinity. You’re right, they’re not there yet. But they’re closer than anyone. They need more money and time and they will hopefully get there.
I want to point out, because I see this chart or something like it a lot. Adobe has an absolute monopoly in the professional design space. None of these programs can remotely come close to the creative suite if you’re doing more than tinkering. If you’re making memes or doing some personal image manipulation, you can get by with GIMP or something. If you’re creating professional art or creating files for print or publication, you need Adobe. It’s scary that one corporation holds so much sway over an entire industry but they definitely do.
Too fucking late. I’ve already installed Bluefin on two machines and Bazzite on my gaming machine. I’m not going back.
Great reference. Also, you can do gifs in Lemmy. Not sure if everyone knows that or not.
Damn, Thanos! We are overpopulated, I agree. But human numbers have always (and I do mean always, as long as we’ve been able to track it) adjusted to the sustainability of their environment given all but the most dire of economic factors that might affect that. Right now, we’re seeing a rapid decline in children being born throughout the world. Just because it doesn’t happen on a particular time table doesn’t mean it’s not correcting itself.
I didn’t see anyone saying that but the correct response is: in the next billing cycle we’re going to start charging X amount per month for X amount of traffic or we have to bump you to to the next tier.
If things are so dire that the traffic is causing problems the correct response is to throttle certain domain traffic until it gets figured out in some way.
Pay X amount in 24 hours or we remove you entirely is extortion.
The OG llama. Before The Emperor’s New Groove, before Tina in Napoleon Dynamite and before llm’s.
it might’ve taken another century before we got spicy gasoline pasta recipe,
The Anarchists Cookbook has had the recipe for napalm for a bit now. But I do get your point.
This really should read as:
Republicans defund regulation budgets to appease meat producers’ donations.
Regulators: “there’s three of us”
Meat producers: “we have no incentive to follow existing laws and standards which were lax as hell to begin with.”
Eh, I’ll take it though. I live in a fairly quiet part of town but the street has gotten pretty busy in the last could of years. And visually, I guess the street seems to open up making drivers get… spicy now and then. The fucking motorcycles, man. These noisy fucking middle-aged infants making 130 decibels while only going 15mph make me see red. I’d gladly take the lawn equipment noise.
I get that. But this is for kiln dried wood. And this particular issue I’m bitching about isn’t about net loss. It’s selling wood using an internally useful measuring system instead of how the consumer would actually think about it. It’s adding needless complexity, in my mind, when there’s enough factors to consider.
I agree with this. Use whatever system you need or want internally, but there’s no reason to force whatever archaic or industry system onto a consumer. Logcutters also use a 1"=1/4 system and that is how they sell wood. A piece of wood that is 2" thick is sold as 8/4. Not 2". I get that they have their system but it seems dickish to force the consumer to use that system. There could be a good argument for it, but I’ve not heard one beyond “what, can’t you do math?”
How much can a virtual banana cost, Michael? Ten dollars?
I don’t care what you or don’t do with anything I said. I’m not living your life for you. If you care, the info is a Google away. If you don’t, then my post wasn’t meant for you.
Wow. A lot of judging and misinformation in reply to your post. I didn’t really expect so much of that on Lemmy.
If you’ve got ADHD or a schizo-affective disorder, nicotine seems to help with anxiety and focus from those conditions. More than the nicotine, the act of purposely inhaling anything causes you to focus on breathing (even for a short time) and when anxiety is running you, your breath is key. Now, that said, inhaling anything in concentration is not without risks. Some are way, way worse than others. Vaping is definitely on the low end of the risk category. Smoking is strongly on the other end.
This is something that seems to be missed by many commenters. Prescribed drugs come with many risks as well. Societally, we’ve accepted that treating some of our issues are worth these risks. Weight gain, weight loss, bowel issues, sleep issues, lack of focus are common issues across the spectrum of anti anxiety drugs. And then if or when those symptoms get bad enough, you get another med to counteract the drug symptoms and those can affect kidneys, blood sugar, energy levels. Just because you’re prescribed something that has been deemed safe doesn’t mean it isn’t doing damage to your body. It’s all a trade-off of happiness vs health to some degree. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take medication if you deem it necessary. The side effects are probably worth the change you’re needing. And it doesn’t mean you should vape even if you think it helps. But be as informed as you can while being as happy and healthy as you can. That’s all you can do. There are things in life a lot worse than nicotine or Wellbutrin that you don’t get a choice over. I wouldn’t fret about them too much.
