Jakob is super cool!! I got to meet him in person at LTX 2023, he gave me a mic and told me to start streaming :)

They did, but I’m not sure that applies in this case unless for some reason OpenAI signed a deal with SAG. Otherwise, they aren’t beholden to any protections not afforded by the law.
At least, AFAIK. Someone with more legal knowledge should probably chime in
Indians can be Sikh, not all indians are Hindu
Maybe the newer kernel? But if you don’t think you need it you’re probably fine tbh
You had me until “limited flavor”, why? How is the alcohol industry allowed to create insane flavors (blue raspberry, literally any fruit, rocket popsicle, etc) but the tobacco industry can’t? Makes no sense.
Adults should be allowed to enjoy things they want to. Perhaps if the government was stricter with id laws and online ordering we wouldn’t be in this situation. There are far too many shops I’ve seen that don’t check ID and THAT is how kids are getting them. The flavors have nothing to do with it (remember, terrible flavors didn’t stop kids of the 80s from smoking).
IMO it has more to do with online glorification than anything else
Facts, having been here since the API shit went down, i have seen a LOT more engagement on the platform compared to july 2023
TBH, from a privacy perspective you’re probably already pretty set – if you wanted to be more cautious you could use disk encryption, ensure that things are a bit locked down (ssh key only auth, firewalls, or find a guide on hardening like this for ex). In terms of your UI, it really depends on what you’re looking for, personally I find GNOME to be the best looking when compared to ease of use but when i made my first switch I started on i3 (but that would be Sway these days for Wayland) and never looked back.
My advice would be to get familiar with Linux as a whole first and then start tweaking things like your UI. It can be overwhelming to get used to the terminal commands (which btw are not necessary but I would heavily recommend as it can make things a LOT easier) and other weird Linux things (software installation, gaming, customization, etc)
I guess im OOTL on this, what’s happened with Kanye now?
Nah he’s remarried to someone named Bianca Censori
Confused as to what the question is, are you looking for an idea as to which ebook platform is the most usable? In my experience (between Calibre & Komga) Calibre is the champion, its not the one people talk about all the time for nothing
Similar boat, private instances ftw
FR, I’ve had this happen to me before (albeit on a WAY smaller scale, though im not sure if it had to do with the absent license)
That’s … not that much tbh. If you were to go to the bar with your friend once a month you could easily pay double, the cost of like two movie tickets and popcorn, etc etc
Then don’t use the feature lmfao
Stop complaining about developers having fun with software they’re providing you for free
Shrinking was really fire
Im on a 7900xtx?
I dunno, i daily sway/Wayland & game without issues (including game streaming). Wayland gaining mainstream support across most distros (especially something as “slow” as debian) is proof enough that its not the eventual replacement, it is the replacement.
Points about real stuff hiding in a sea of fake stuff aside, because these ais would likely have been trained on images of real children and potentially real abuse material, each new generated image could be considered a re-exploitation of that child.
Of course, i don’t think that’s true in a legal sense but definitely in an emotional and moral sense. I mean look at the damage deepfakes have done to the mentals for so many celebrities and other victims, then imagine literally a minor trying to move past one of the most traumatic things that could have happened to them
