Those flat CRT TVs were the end game back in the day.
Those flat CRT TVs were the end game back in the day.
Jesus, only 4 games in that otherwise short short list ring a bell for me.
The reason is simply getting rid of competition.
Even if the whole industry were to collapse tomorrow, we already have games enough for a lifetime of 24/7 gaming.
Nah, Switch U or go home.
People going crazy over a PSN account requirement but nobody cares a shit about the game having root access to their PCs. Funny times we live in indeed.
That’s why they are trying to push it up to €70, right?
It’s ok, not every franchise has to go on forever.
How about shareholders tip me instead?
Gotta transfer all your dirt.
I stopped following Kotaku years ago. It was the best news site by a large stretch. At some point it quickly became trash in the lapse of a few months.
Regarding the writing guides galore, the same has just happened to Destructoid during this very week, suddenly my feed was flooded with dozens of clickbait “how to de X in [trendy game name]”. I just stopped following them right away.
Now I only have Gemstsu to check news and it is not particularly good, guess sooner than later my only source of new game releases will be the from page of Steam:(
So even more generic games then.
Great follow up, nice to see it’s working again!
And I’ll be playing 0% of them.
Dunno, I haven’t watch a single add in the past 5 years or so.
When they started vaulting content I had paid for is when I stopped playing.
Game pass as a trend poses a serious dangers for developers and publishers alike, the moment people get used to pay €2-5 for a game it will be difficult for them to compete with €60-70 a game.
For us gamers is a blessing as long as the monthly price doesn’t exceed the price of the combined games you can play in that period.
I for example get 1-2 months a year of Game Pass. I’m getting 1 month next. I’m planning on play Dead Space, Lies of P and Persona Tactica, and, since I have holidays vacations this year maybe I will able to play either Starfield or Jusant. That mean I will be paying €10 for playing games Worth €180-240. Never in history have we gamers had this kind of deal.
Not saying they are bad games but 6 sequels, one of them a remake, and not a single new game. That pretty much summarizes the state of the current gaming industry.
Hence the 4x4 sticker: 4 parking spaces for 4 wheels.
So if a car maker releases a car model that randomly turns abruptly to the left for no apparent reason, you simply say “I can’t fix it, deal with it”? No, you pull it out of the market, try to fix it and, if this it is not possible, then you retire the model before it kills anyone.
