Loading vector tiles should require significantly less data/bandwidth while also offering completely linear scaling without any steps. I hope this works well enough to eventually replace the current implementation.

They generally intend to move to vectors afaik. There was a blogpost and call for donations by them a while ago.
What a self own with the title then. Should have changed it to “The beneficiaries of world hunger”
Well i didnt read the article but it depends on the framing. Is he defending the capitalist status quo? If yes then he can go die of hunger imo. If the article points out that rich people benefit from hunger and that this is in fact bad, then thats cool.
With these sites its actually not even a metaphor at all. Its a literal accessibility issue because closed sites like twitter and reddit dont allow open API access for apps building features for blind or deaf people.

There was a follow up to this pic with him apologizing, saying that he learned that this is not what irvin would have wanted.
Oof that sounds rough. Maybe the EU custumer service is run different. I never had any major issues with all the lenovos i used or set up for other people. Thinkpads and legions alike. But when i did have a family member break something, it was repaired (not replaced) in a matter of a few weeks without any warranty hassle.
But generally the quality of all things lenovo has definitely gone done in recent years for sure. I would recommend framework but those are not cheap and not really for gaming.
The lenovo legion series gaming laptops have been good in my experience. They also have fully AMD ones nowadays too i think. (If you are on linux that is a plus)
Anything “more” will probably just be a thinly veiled attempt at more surveillance and censorship systems.
I hope thats what they will do but i very much doubt it. Looking at her track record makes me think that she has no good intemtions with mozilla.
There was this one a few days ago of a popular podcast calling for the killing of all inhabitants of Gaza. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/article/2024/sep/06/israeli-podcasters-laughing-gaza-genocide-two-nice-jewish-boys
Also the finance minister of Israel saying the starvation of the people of Gaza would be morally justified. https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/aug/08/israel-finance-minister-bezalel-smotrich-gaza-starve-2m-people-comments
Thats just the two that immediately come to mind, im sure there are dozens of other instances of influential or even government people saying shit like this.
And this is just the things they say publicly. This doesnt even cover the issue that the whole next generation of young people in Israel were forced to serve in the IDF and end up brainwashed into accepting mass civilians casualties because “there is no other way”.
We should honestly just replay their media with subtitles or voiceover in western media. Make people watch them saying this shit on the evening news and get their kids to cry because of the evil man in the TV.
Which is what i adressed in the comment…
This is such an obviously dumb take its unbelievabe anyone would come up with it. Ofcourse the cops need to respond to a call of someone claiming to be assaulted/abused/murdered. There is no issue with this at all. The issue that CAN arise is that bad police training might lead to someone getting actually hurt in a raid like this. But thats an entirely different issue.
Yeah the question really is what the contract between the artist and “Josh” states. Without knowing that, its impossible to judge…
You are so revolutionary. Much edgy, very wow.
On debian when i mount an ftp server through my file browser it uses gvfs
This will mount it to /run/user/1000/gvfs/ftp:host=<IP>,port=<PORT>,user=<fpt-user>
“Thanks Steve.”
*can’t
At least the first one unless you have something to magnify it. Not even from the ISS i think. Its just so thin its completely invisible.
