I guess I just don’t see the appeal. If I wanted to interact with an AI, I can do it right now without launching a game to do it. And pointless NPCs are already one of the most annoying parts of games for me. I don’t want to waste my time reading meaningless dialogue from 100 characters trying to find the 1 person who will actually let me advance and continue playing the game. It will be even worse when they are all taking an unlimited stream of shit instead of 1 or 2 canned responses, because it will just be even harder to know who is wasting your time.

When a bunch of RPGs start doing that, they are all just going to start feeling the same.

It would be great if the model could produce this beautifully disfigured stuff when the user asked it to. But if it can’t follow the user’s prompts reasonably, then it’s pretty useless as a tool

Why would I tell them about “the fediverse”? Tell them that you use Lemmy or Mastodon or whatever. If they are interested then give them a link to a good instance. That’s it.

So they used AI to determine this? So I’m sure the result must be totally accurate.

What else does the article say? Hmmm let’s see. “The researchers found that Sky was also reminiscent of other Hollywood stars, including Anne Hathaway and Keri Russell. The analysis of Sky often rated Hathaway and Russell as being even more similar to the AI than Johansson.” Alright that proves it! Clearly this voice was based on Scarlett Johansson!

I’m addition to the other comment, I’ll add that just because you train the AI on good and correct sources of information, it still doesn’t necessarily mean that it will give you a correct answer all the time. It’s more likely, but not ensured.

What amazes me is how many people care about this piece of crap in the first place. Like WHY is everyone talking about it? It could have been one of thousands of shitty tech products that I had never even heard of, but everyone wants to talk about it for some reason.

Never used this search engine before, but I just tried it out for several searches, and it seems to give me what I want. I’ll probably try it out for a while.

I feel like the issue could be largely resolved if developers would just make a lot of the downloads optional. For as long as I remember, installers for PC applications have given the user options for which parts of the applications they want to install. Yet for games these days, they just take an all or nothing approach. Let me skip the ultra textures, and all the extra choices in languages I don’t need. It seems like it should be such an easy thing to implement!

You can see on the next line over, there are a ton of empty spots right up front. This is probably some place that’s not open to the public or whatever, or else they just have way more parking spots than they actually need.

AMC sucks, don’t you have any other theaters around there to choose from? There is a theater near me that only charges $7 for normal tickets, and even cheaper for matinees. Then the AMC theater in my same town charges $12.50 for a ticket…plus that stupid convenience fee.
