That’s what gets me on these things. If you want to be a dick and make sure your car isn’t hit go park or in the boonis! Nobody goes out there, don’t have to worry about carts, take as many spots as you want! Shoot for a record of you want try to get 6! But why tf are you doing it in close parking spots?
Years ago I worked in a liquor store in a strip mall. We had an auto supply store in the lot next to us and a bunch of fast food spots. The two lots have 3-400 parking spaces.
One day a guy pulls up to our fire lane, which is intended for firetrucks pulling up to building that are on fire, in a Shelby Cobra. I ask him to move as we have hundreds of open spaces, he could quadruple park and it wouldn’t be an issue. He told me to get fucked so I told the manager.
The manager goes to the pretzel place and suddenly there’s a fire alarm. The fire truck plows through the Cobra devastating it. The owner of the Cobra freaks and starts yelling at the firefighter only to be reminded the car was illegally in the fire lane and he should expect to have to pay a fine for that and pay for any damage to the truck.
I don’t get why some think their stuff should be treated differently.
I’d like to imagine your manager went over to the pretzel place and tossed a bottle of everclear into the deep-fryer to start a fire, instead of just pulling the alarm.
You can see on the next line over, there are a ton of empty spots right up front. This is probably some place that’s not open to the public or whatever, or else they just have way more parking spots than they actually need.
Four of the best parking spots, too, judging by the handicap spaces nearby.

This just reminds me of something out of Better Call Saul for some reason.
Slippin’ Jimmy slipping on wet floors and booze bottles just fell into the fryer!
I can see Jimmy doing this, and putting on some giant grimace for emphasis just as he pulls the lever down.
Or I could see mike doing this casually as fuck just as he walks by the alarm as if it’s nothing.
They’re purposefully doing it to be an ass, taking the close parking spots and causing more inconvenience 8s part of the point.
Yup, pretty much right by the door
